Charm Academy for Young Women or CAYW was founded by Ami and Megumi Fujioka, two sisters whose family, to this day, still controls what happens within the walls. The current dean, Haruki Inoue, is the great, great, great, great, great, grand-daughter of Megumi Steelbow and is known to be a strict, but responsible person.
The school had once been an abandoned castle, but was restored over the years to look more modern inside and out. It started in 1965 where wealthy young women came to learn the ropes to women-hood; sewing, dancing, cooking, cleaning. But as the civilization and world modernized, so did the school. So now it's simply a private academy that specializes in broadening the mind and heart.
Just because there are no men allowed on campus does not mean romance stops. The students and even some teachers have found love in the same sex. Some specifically come to Charm because of this perk. Though the rules are strict here, students can get away with a lot once behind closed doors, such as making out without anyone noticing, or smoking if the windows are open. Because of this parents think that they are sending their princess to their dream come true, but instead their little girls often can do whatever they want. As long as they don't get caught that is. Once they are caught, three strikes and they're expelled and it goes on their record.
